About Me

Jennie Loof Portrait by Jade Starmore

Hello there. I am Jennie Lööf a fashion designer, costume maker and sewing teacher, originally from Sweden and now based in the beautiful southisde of Glasgow.

I have been sewing since the age of 5, a skill that has been passed down through generations in my family. Since moving to Glasgow in 2004 I have worked as a wardrobe supervisor in Scottish professional theatre making costumes for countless shows, I also have my own fashion label 'Jennie Lööf' and I am one of the founding members of Shawlands 'Glad Rags' Thrift Shop.

Fashion Design:

I love creating new garments using vintage fabrics for the sentimental value they hold. This breathes new life into old fabrics while making them into new, fashionable items.

All one-offs, all unique.

Made-to-Measure:

I also do made-to-measure. Special occasions to everyday wear. If you want something specially made for you in a perfect fit. Contact me for a free consultation now.

Sewing Classes:

In 2011 I was the Artist in residence at Loudoun Academy where i taught fashion business and construction. Following Loudoun I taught sewing at Impact Arts and Starter Packs in Glasgow. I realised quickly my love for teaching and in 2012 I started up my own sewing classes specialising in courses tailored to the students.

Small classes with lots of support, in big rooms with plenty of coffee!
